November 9 by Colleen Hoover

Hey Guys,

Today I'm going to be reviewing November 9. This was actually my second Colleen Hoover book, I didn't review the first one, and I want to read more. The way Colleen writes her characters and there stories make for a really interesting and different read.
Out of the books I've read by her I can say that her tone feels very sad and tragic on one page, but really funny and cute on the next. From reading about her other books I can also say that most of her books seem to contain some sort of tragic and sad event that changes one or usually both of the main characters.

Any way November 9, I really love the characters in this, the moment we met them I loved their thought process and how sweet they are. I can't get over some of the sarcastic lines that the characters spout sometimes, and their tragic backgrounds.

The story centres around two people who meet on November 9th every year. That's all you should really know apart from that it is a coming of age/love story. Just diving in without knowing much is the best way to read it.

As the story progresses we learn more about what happened and why to the characters, but it's not until the very end that we really learn what ties them together. Another trope in Colleen's books is the fact that one of the characters knows the other character because of the 'sad tragic event', but we don't learn how until the very end.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

Hey Guys,

So today I'm going to be reviewing Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I'm really excited to review this because I really enjoyed.

This book is fantastic, I love the world and the characters. It took me a while to really understand the world because it's not described really at all at the beginning. During the book more about the world is revealed, and it's really cool.
I can't tell whether this book is high or urban fantasy because the entire world feels magic but it's set in Prague. I love how it's set in Prague, most books are either set in America or England so it was something a bit different. I love Karou and her personality, her back story is touched upon but we never go into extreme depth.

My Bookish Boyfriends

Hey Guys,

It's been awhile since I did a main post hat was actually about books. I'm holding up well with my review strategy and it's surprisingly easy to do, but I hope you're enjoying my reviews. Also I'm going to stop attempting intros for my reviews because I always fail miserably.
Any way Today I'm going to be breaking down my top ten bookish boyfriends for you. There are however some rules; I have to have all the books in the series (if they're from a series) or every book that is out so far. And they must all be from books not TV shows. It will count down from 5 - 1 (but there are two number ones)
Lets get down to it.

First we have some honourable mentions who didn't quite make it to the final cut...

Now onto the actual Top 5 Bookish Boyfriends (even though there are six)...

Coming in at number 5 we have...
Finch from All the Bright Places

The thing I love about Finch is how eccentric he is. He makes me laugh and he makes me cry and I just really love him. I love how he puts Violet out of her comfort zone and there love story, so I like to just imagine I am Violet. I love his quirky attitude and his way of living.

Next at number 4 we have...

Daemon Black from The Lux Series

What I love about Daemon is how romantic he is, I loved him the most through book two (Opal) when he's buying Kat all that stuff to prove his love. I love how attached he is to Kat and the fact that he'll  do anything for her. He's also really protective, but being who he is I understand why. I also really like the fact that he's an alien, that's pretty cool.

Then at number 3 we have...
Levi from Fan girl

The thing about Levi is he is so super sweet and nice. He goes out of his way for other people, and he makes others feel special. I love how he works at Starbucks, I don't really know why but I like it. I like how he makes Cath feel special and how involved he wants to be in her past and help her now. He's also really supportive which is amazing.

Coming in at number 2 we have...
Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices

I love Will and the only reason he isn't higher up is because he's a lot older than me but that's the only problem with him. He is kind of moody and stand off-ish but once you get to know him he is wonderful and I love him. He's really bad ass and is really good at what he does (he fights demons BTW) he also really cares about Tessa and is just overall amazing. At first I preferred Jem but after book 2ish time he was my fave from the trilogy.

Now for my two number 1's we have...
Percy Jackson from Percy Jackson

The first hing I love about Percy is the fact that he was my age for a while and he's really really cool. He controls water which is so cool and he's really funny and makes me laugh, but he's also really smart and really cool. I like him because of his awesome personality and his funny and sarcastic comments in his books and he's just really bad ass and awesome and amazing.

Dorian Havilliard from Throne of Glass

The absolute main thing I love about Dorian is his personality. He's really selfless and funny and I love the way he teases Celeana, and I love how supportive he is, like he never complains, but he always thinks every thing's his fault. He isn't as bad ass as my other boyfriends but I feel for him more and I connect with his character more.

The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey

Hey Guys,

Two posts in one day. What has this new schedule done to me? I'm a blog tyrant. Once again I won't make a really long intro so you guys can read the review and be done with it so in we go.

Theres not much I can say about this as it is the second book in a series. I can only recommend that you pick up book 1 The 5th wave and give it a go.

Overall I give this book a 4/5 stars it wasn't as good as the first one but still really good.

Panic by Lauren Oliver

Hey Guys,

Welcome to my second review of 2016. It still blows my mind that it's 2016. Today I'm going to review Panic by Lauren Oliver. Hence title. No long intros let's get down to it.

So first of all this really didn't go the way I expected it to go. I had a rough idea of what it was about but it turned out the game was a lot more structured than I anticipated.
All of the characters were OK they were well written but they all seemed a bit selfish. I particularly hated Nat. I like how all the characters had very different motivation for playing the game, and the mystery and a tad scary element to it gave it an edge. It is not a scary book, though has a thrilling, heart racing feeling.

Overall I would give it 3/5 mainly because I feel towards the end it felt less thrilling and exciting.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Welcome to 2016. Wow. Anyway a new year a new blog, what do you think about my slightly new set up?
Moving on.
So as promised I am starting to review almost every book I read to keep you guys up to speed with my reading, and so you can get an idea on what I think. This one's almost an experiment to test some new stuff on so it might be a bit weird.
As I mentioned a while ago, I want to review Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo as I thoroughly enjoyed it and to bestow upon you my opinions.
Let us begin...

First of all we are greeted with this character Joost (not a spoiler it's on the first page) and I remember immediatly thinking 'oh god I hope we don't stick with this character' other than him the characters were fantastic. I didn't love any of them, but I liked the way they worked with story. I also like the various, almost forbidan, budding romances. The characters all paralleled eachother hard, but it really.
I like how we get the POV of all the characters so we get everyones backstory and a good feel for their personalities.
The heist was very different to what I expected, but I really loved how all the plans and pieces fit together to create this master plan. The twist at the end caught me by complete supprise though their was an inkling that it wouldn't go smoothly as planned.
Overall I really enjoyed it and I can'y wait to see what happens next, yes there is going to be a book two.

Well That Lasted Long...

Happy New Year!

'we wish you a merry Christmas and a HAPPY NEW YEAR'

Fairly recently I posted a posty thing called Structure [link: structure] and I basically laid down some rules about how I was going to post my things in an 'orderly way'. This lasted for precisely two days. Yeah, I know. This wasn't exactly my fault. Well no, that's a lie, but for the most part I couldn't exactly help it. I was on holiday(ish) and didn't have my laptop with, rendering me without posting ability. Yeah.

Well considering that I'm not very good at sticking to... well anything, I am instating some different rules. From now on I will force myself to create one main post at least once a week, and I will warn you when I will be absent. Or I will write drafts to post in staggers. But that I feel isn't enough for you guys, and that's not right *cough*Matilda*cough* so as I really love ranting about my inadequate feelings I will try and post a review for almost every book I read. Just let that sink in. So good luck to me and I hope you enjoy hearing all my opinions on EVERYTHING I'll ever read. Have fun!
